What is EdApp?

In this class, we are learning about EdApp, which is a mobile learning management system (LMS), designed to be easy to use for teachers but fun to engage with for students. This is important for us as it serves as one of the choices to house our courseware project. EdApp is used to deliver lessons directly to students, allowing them to use various devices to access learning. Honestly, my team has decided to use Google Sites as our main system for our courseware, but this is worth to look upon.
From the tutorial, I can see that EdApp is online-based, and it can be accessed through mobile devices and also laptops, even though it is primarily mobile. The system offers a built-in authoring tool that allows teachers to create a lesson from scratch. The best thing about EdApp, in my opinion, is that the platform uses gamification for its materials, with the purpose of making the lessons enjoyable by students. They learn by playing, which is every student's dream.  The duration of activities is also reasonable that all students, regardless of the presence of learning difficulties, can enjoy them. teachers can give rewards to students in the app, like in the form of stars and such.

Like most platforms, EdApp offers ready-made templates for teachers to use to build their lessons, and the cool thing is that you can upload your existing materials into the platform, which saves time. There are multiple templates of activity, like multiple-choice questions, fill-the-gaps, and many more.

EdApp offers a wide range of functionality, like editable content library, for teachers to take a pre-built content for their lesson. EdApp also has translation capabilities, whereby we can create our lesson in our native language, and the system will translate it into various languages.

The app is suitable for our courseware project, due to its functionality, and also, it is free. The free plan gets us editable courses, unlimited course authoring, full suite of apps, built-in gamification, leaderboards, rapid refresh, peer learning, virtual classrooms, offline mode, full analytics suite, integrations, and live chat support. Of course, if we pay for the app, we will get access to more advantages, but for our project, the free plan is enough.
